fatboys bar & restaurant is situated 100 metres out atop the crystal clear waters of Mbabanga Island,
an 8 minute boat ride from Gizo, the provincial capital of the Western Solomons.

The name "fatboys" is derived from the character "Joe" from the book "The Pickwick Papers" by Charles
Dickens. The fatboys life revolves around drinking, eating, sleeping and making every conceivable effort
to avoid work. Whilst at fatboys the customer becomes "Joe the fatboy"

Enjoy an ice cold bevy, a plate of fresh crayfish pan fried in lime juice and butter, a game of pool, or
simply kick back and be mesmerized by the myriad of tropical fish swimming underneath you. Our well
stocked bar includes a modest wine list and our locally grown produce, including catches of fresh seafood
everyday, enable us to create mouth-watering dishes for you. We are open for lunch everyday and take
bookings for dinner.

Your hosts, David and Chelsea Calton, have experienced all aspects of the hospitality industry. The majority
of their careers have been spent in Hong Kong and on the Gold Coast, Australia. They are keen to maintain
and improve the standards which have made fatboys the hippest place in the Solomon Islands. fatboys is the
ideal location for your next conference or workshop. We can cater for up to 150 people and with generator
power we can ensure that you won't be interrupted by power cuts.
